Dear @pixelfed why is “not showing likes” a site wide setting and not on the user level? I know you want to copy Instagram, but this is just crazy. The #fediverse should be about people, not domain owners.

@jwildeboer @pixelfed We did it before Instagram, building a better alternative means sacrificing some features like this one.
The fediverse is about people, thats why you can self host it and show like counts!
