A not really transparent group of people are maintaining something called "FEP" - Fediverse Enhancement Proposals in, IMHO, intransparent ways. This is doing, again IMHO, the opposite of what is claimed. It undermines interoperability. They have proposals like "Content Licensing support" etc. https://codeberg.org/fediverse/fep
AFAICS the group of editors, listed at https://codeberg.org/fediverse/fep/src/branch/main/EDITORS.md that decides on these "FEP" are a pseudonymous group with no mandate except by themselves. I have seen this pattern all too often. I see this as a bad thing.
I warned and begged repeatedly that #ActivityPub, the standard MUST be reinvigorated ASAP to avoid these kind of things from happening.
