In , starting from October, you need a booster shot to be fully vaccinated against . That means that we are going into winter with just 70% of population being fully vaccinated. What could possibly go wrong?

This tree at my office definitely doesn’t look healthy. It was a very dry summer.

GitHub has mass-deleted the forks, users and orgs. But if you inadvertently have downloaded that stuff in the past day(s), before it was deleted, you might be at risk. So check your local repos/containers, CI/CD pipelines and put that host in your firewall is my advice.

It seems they mass- forked existing repos under new user/org names and inserted the code there. Hoping people looking for a specific project would be confused enough to grab the fork. I've also added that host to my firewall config, just to be sure.

Interesting thread over on Twitter by the Asahi devs. TL;DR Yes, support for booting 3rd party OS on M1/M2 Macs is an official feature, not a hack or bug. It is a policy.

Ah, that sweet, little pain in the arm where I got my vaccination shot. I missed you. Off to bed I go :)

This does NOT mean you are fully protected against . But it does give a clear indication you might be. Let's wait for specific results.

So. From 2008. When you got your vaccination back in the 1970s/80s : "Vaccinated participants maintained antivaccinia IgG [...] essentially indefinitely" "

Advantage age, I guess? I was born in 1970 in the Netherlands, so I got the pox vaccine as a child. Which hopefully still offers some protection against this wrongly named monkey pox. Research on that is ongoing as we speak.

And I got it without problems in the vaccination centre in Haar, near Munich - who refused to give me my booster 2 times last year in November. So we’re even now :)

9 days before surgery, vaccination #4. should give me the antibody boost exactly when I need it :). That’s 2x BioNTech and 2x Moderna now. My personal approves. :)

And also yes - I do sense deep in my gut that we are seeing a return to more e-mail as alternative to centralised social networks. I cannot (yet) really explain, but there already is a bit of a renaissance of mailing lists and the cc: based social networking of the olden days ;)

(and yes, I know what I am talking about. I am running my own mail server successfully since many, many years. I have programmed a ton of code around email solutions for e-commerce sites etc.)

When you think about it, e-mail is the OG federated social network :) So let's learn from their many, many years of experience instead of trying to reinvent the wheel yet another time again :)

Things the world should and could learn from the most widely used decentralised system - e-mail: How to organise shared blacklists (hello, Spamhaus!), how to become more resilient (hello, backup mx!) and a lot, lot more.

New project from #RedHat - differential shell check - basically linter for shell scripts in PR. You can see an example of such PR where was an issue and later fixed
