Do you know any app or #Android to block spam calls and messages through an #opensource and #decentralized network? It could be something like #mastodon and #fediverse which we have.

For instance, I block a number and report as spam. Anyone who wishes to, can follow me and block numbers which I block. So if a number calls me or messages me to spam, once I block them, they cannot call the ones who follow me.

Also I follow other people. I think this can be made on the top of #activitypub or #mastodon.

Shootout to KDE connect, I was watching a video on desktop when my phone rang. After ending the call the video started to play again. KDE connect automagically stopped the video so I could hear the phone ringing and focus on the call and unpause so I could continue once I was done

I wonder how the current Epic Games v. Google court case factors in the new sideloading policies Google is signaling intent to enforce.

Requiring all Android developers to go through them, including paying a fee, sure sounds like something that fails to comply with this:

I suppose you could argue e.g. F-Droid is not itself available in the Play Store, but the news around sideloading sure seem like Google creating another way to circumvent the court decision's intention to, as it continues, "allow other app stores to compete in this two-sided market by letting them offer the apps and reach the users on the Play Store platform".

With the latest news[1], Google's next move should be appealing to the Supreme Court, and given its latest decisions I am not optimistic about that.

I'm looking to purchase my first #NAS. The internet is recommending a Synology DS225+ but I'm also reading that they force you to buy #Synology drives and I'm not sure the lock-in is a positive sign?

So what other brands should I be looking for? I basically want to run my #Jellyfin server on it so the whole family can stream audio and video to our #Android + #iOS devices and listen to some banging tunes on the #Sonos speaker at home.

And this is largely because the #iOS one is free on Apple Arcade / One. You just open up the game and play. It's a good experience.

Whereas the #Android one is an expensive monthly subscription for just one game that's full of ads and has gamification to make you spend more cash.

Such a shame.

The new #Android update makes a low sound for every "successful press" outside of the keyboard area. Small "bop" or "plop" noises every. Single. Time.

And I can't find the option to disable this!
