Has someone already built something like for ? With a twist? ;) Where you point to a thread and get the thread back as that you can copy/paste to a Jekyll style static site generator to extend it into a blog entry?

It would even be cooler if this could become a standard feature in mastodon itself. To make sure only the author can do it simple and easy. cc @Gargron - would this qualify as a feature request? Export thread to markdown? With maybe even auftippst to a GitfHub,lab) repo?

@Gargron and (gasp) build in a link to the thread so comments are automagically possible and show up at the right place? Now THAT would be cool!

@jwildeboer the was one, I tried it, and it had problems capturing threads... cant rember the address was posting a toot with a hashtag thing to activate it,

@jwildeboer @gargron I think WriteFreely tried to be ActivityPub based Long Format, but I don't know what came of it.

@jwildeboer Should be fairly trivial: `curl -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -Ls | jq`

but Masto stores content in HTML: `curl -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -Ls | jq .content`, so might need either some HTML cleanup.

Another idea is to display the replies as OEmbeds: `curl -H 'Content-Type: application/json+oembed' -Ls\?url\`
