Zack Weinberg<p>The mainline Pokemon games always seem to come out in pairs - Red and Green, all the way back at the beginning, and I know there was also Black and White, and Sword and Shield, and currently Scarlet and Violet? Probably a bunch more too.</p><p>I've never played any of these games.</p><p>Wikipedia tells me that the only difference between Red and Green was that each of them only had half of the pocket monsters, so if you were determined to catch 'em all you would need to trade with someone who owned the other game.</p><p>Is that still the deal with the more recent pairs?</p><p><a href="https://hackers.town/tags/pokemon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pokemon</span></a></p>
WildRikku<p>Missingno. is 100% the best software bug in history. I was reminded of this bug in the original Pokémon games today and, more importantly, how scary storys that this horror Pokémon will destroy your savegame to take revenge for being caught quickly spread. Fun thing is, it did indeed destroy your savegame. It was a bug, not a scary Pokémon feature, but that story is just great.
