Jiří Eischmann<p>There's one thing you don't want when upgrading your remote server: a broken network.</p><p>My server is running as a VPS on vpsfree.cz. When they were still using OpenVZ, <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/NetworkManager" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NetworkManager</span></a> didn't work properly, so I disabled it. The network was set up by the host, it was static, it worked without a <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/network" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>network</span></a> manager. Until I upgraded to <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/Fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fedora</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> 41, when it terribly failed.</p><p>Now I have systemd-networkd and it works again, but there were some stressful moments. What did you do Friday night? 😅</p>

Among the Fedora and EPEL packages I maintain [1] are 11 AWS C lib packages. I wrote some time ago about there function and challenge to package them [2]. Today 9 of those packages received updates to the latest available release [3]. 2 are pending because of dependencies, but I should get them through the door within the next 2-3 weeks as well.
