Jan Wildeboer 😷:krulorange:<p>20 years ago <a href="https://social.wildeboer.net/tags/RedHat" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RedHat</span></a> made a promise to never use their <a href="https://social.wildeboer.net/tags/patents" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>patents</span></a> against <a href="https://social.wildeboer.net/tags/OpenSource" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>OpenSource</span></a> projects and developers. We updated it 2017. It still stands. And will stand. Software patents are a problem, not a solution. We have to deal with it pragmatically. We do. <a href="https://www.redhat.com/en/about/patent-promise" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">redhat.com/en/about/patent-pro</span><span class="invisible">mise</span></a></p>
